What this notice covers
This website is a personal profile site. The only place it collects personal information is the contact form. This notice explains what that form collects, why, where it goes, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted.
What is collected
Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your email address, and your message. There are no tracking cookies on this site. Separately from the form, the company that hosts this site keeps ordinary server logs of requests to it, which include the visiting IP address, for security and troubleshooting. Those are not something I read or use.
Why it is collected
So that I can read your message and reply to you. It is not used for anything else, it is never sold, and it is never used to market anything to you.
Where it goes
The form hands your message to Resend, an email delivery service, which sends it to an address on my own domain. Cloudflare then forwards that on to my personal mailbox. It is not written to any database, because this website does not have one. Those services run on servers outside Quebec, which means your message leaves the province on its way to me.
The check that you are human
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which confirms a real browser is sending the message rather than a script. To do that, Cloudflare sees your IP address and some technical detail about your browser. It does not ask you to solve a puzzle, it does not identify who you are, and it is used for nothing but stopping spam.
How long it is kept
For as long as the email sits in my mailbox, the same as any other message someone sends me. There is no separate store on my side to purge. Resend, which does the sending, keeps its own record of messages it delivered, subject to its own retention policy.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It counts visits and records which pages were viewed, roughly where the traffic came from, and what kind of device was used. It does not set a cookie, it does not identify individual visitors, and it does not follow you across other websites. There is no advertising or social-network tracking on this site.
Your rights, and how to use them
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email me and I will action it. Since the only thing I hold is an email you sent me, deletion means I delete that email.
